Receive a daily e-mail report alerting you which of your vehicles have been impounded within Locator's coverage area in the last 24 hours. The report states the locations and phone numbers of the impound lots holding your vehicles. This report enables you to recover impounded vehicles sooner, saving you storage fees, depreciation, and losses from public lien sales.

Stolen/Recovered Alerts

Stolen vehicle reports are a premium service, available by separate signup. When you subscribe, you receive a daily e-mail alerting you when your vehicles have been entered into the National Crime Information Center database as a stolen vehicle and when your vehicles have been entered into that database as a recovered vehicle. The stolen report enables you to act so as to participate in any insurance claim paid. The recovered report alerts you to the opportunity to get paid on your loan or to repossess the vehicle.

Salvage Report

Find out when your vehicles have been dismantled, crushed, or declared a total loss by an insurance company. Salvage reports enable you to stop spending money searching for vehicles that are not coming back.

Export Report

Receive a daily e-mail alerting you when your vehicles have been presented to customs for export from the United States or Canada in the last 24 hours. Export reports enable you to stop your vehicles from leaving the country.

Lender Liens

Lender Liens is a premium service, available by separate signup. Locator has a lien database of more than 25 million VINs representing vehicles subject to liens held by all of the captive auto finance companies, most of the major banks, and many smaller lenders as well. When you subscribe, you receive a daily e-mail alerting you to prior liens, duplicate financing, and other hazards to your interest in particular vehicles. Lender Lien reports enable lenders to avoid losses arising from wrongful repossession lawsuits, fraudulent duplicate financing, and from lawsuits over priority to collateral. In addition, adding your VINs to Locator's lien database enables other lenders to learn of your claim to vehicles that they might be offered or accept in trade.

Repair and Storage Liens

Plate-To-VIN

VIN-To-Plate translation is a premium service, available by separate signup, that enables a lender to learn what license plate is associated with the VIN representing a vehicle subject to a lien held by the lender. The translations can go from plate to VIN or from VIN to plate depending on the needs of the lender. VIN-To-Plate translations enable lenders to associate license plate-based parking tickets, moving violations, and toll violations to accounts indexed by VIN. VIN-To-Plate translations also enable lenders to achieve greater returns from the services of LPR-based repossession servicers such as DRN and MVTrack.
